Sugar Cane Molasses are fermented in distilleries to produce Ethanol, Ethyl Alcohol commercially. India has been producing huge amount of Ethanol for mixing in Fuels & Ethyl Alcohol for beverages / liquor utilizing about 75-80% molasses produced in the country. Though the free production of Ethanol, Ethyl Alcohol using molasses is restricted for social reasons, its application in the preparation of alcohol based chemicals is also economically viable.
Sugar Cane Organic Molasses is the final product of the manufacture of sugar; it is dense and viscous liquid which is separated from the cooked mass of low density centrifugation. Sugar Cane Organic Molasses is produced from organically grown sugar cane. It is not manufactured using genetically modified organism. During the elaboration, the product is not exposed to irradiation or ionization.
Sugar Cane Dry Molasses also helps with rumen digestion which is important for either a grass based diet or when blending high dry matter feeds such as dairy meals, grains, hay etc. When feeding dry molasses the cow can use the energy obtained from dry molasses for increased milk solid production and/or maintenance. Other benefits of dry molasses include stimulating appetite, promoting animal health and maximising days in milking.
Grain alcohol is a form of pure alcohol which has been produced by fermenting and distilling grain. In addition to being used in the production of alcoholic beverages, grain alcohol is also used as a solvent and in a variety of other industrial applications. Because grain alcohol is extremely potent, it should not be consumed straight, and people should never consume other alcohols such as methyl alcohol, because these substances are very toxic.
The highest level of ethanol purity is “ENA” or Extra Neutral Alcohol for High quality beverages and liquor. This is only domestically produced from fermentation Sugar Cane sources, Based on the type of Sugar cane processed and the enzymes used to break starch down to sugar, different quantities and types of impurities are produced. In addition to meeting all of the quality requirements for USP, NF and FCC grade materials, ENA beverage alcohol must pass stringent organoleptic analysis for taste and odor.
As a good solvent, Ethanol (Absolute Alcohol) is used in the production of some paints, Industrial chemicals, Medicine and Food industry. It is an intermediate for the production of ethyl esters (like ethyl acetate).
A Rectified Spirit or rectified alcohol is highly concentrated ethanol (drinking alcohol) which has been purified by means of repeated distillation, a process that is called rectification. Rectified spirits are used in mixed drinks, in the production of liqueurs, for medicinal purposes, and as a household solvent.
Industrial alcohol is distilled ethyl alcohol (C2H5OH), normally of high proof, produced and sold for other than beverage purposes. It is usually distributed in the form of pure ethyl alcohol, completely denatured alcohol, especially denatured alcohol and proprietary solvent blends.
Single Malt All single malt goes through a similar process. There are several types of single malts available from distilleries including single barrel single malts which are the product of a single batch that was stored for three or more years in a single oak barrel. These single barrel variants afford the opportunity for the consumer to see the influence of different types of storage. The more common form of Single Malt is a marrying at bottling time of various batches that are mixed or vatted to achieve consistent flavors from one bottling run to the next.
